Last post stateside!

July 1st...3 days until I leave. It really hasn't quite set in yet. I'm excited to go, but I'm completely unmotivated as far as packing and cleaning right now. I've got everything taken care of, just not in one spot. I'll be taking 3 bags, checking a duffle and a suitcase and carrying on a duffle bag with my camera and laptop inside.

I'm dropping my car off at my Uncle's tomorrow where it's going to be stored while I'm gone. The other one is probably going to become some sort of shelving unit in my parent's garage.

I'm flying out on Friday, July 4th at 4:08PM from Appleton WI. 57 minutes later I'll land in Chicago. Little over 2 hours of waiting, then a 4:15 flight to LAX. Hour and a half later, I'll board the 14 hour, 15 minute flight to Sydney. I'll arrive at 6:15AM two days after I boarded the first flight.

Somebody let me know how July 5th is. I won't have one this year. I will, however have two November 29ths...explain this business to me.

I kinda wish I coulda waited a few days to fly out...I'm missing my buddy's wedding and all the 4th of July parties that everybody loves. (which reminds me of a joke..."Does Australia have a 4th of July? - Yes, it's between the 3rd and the 5th".) On the plus side, I get a few days in Sydney to sleep off the jet lag, wander around, and try to figure out which way the toilets flush down there.

Keep me bookmarked...I'm planning on updating this at least weekly with what little internet I have. Look for lots of pictures and some interesting stories in the next couple of weeks! See you all when I return!
